There are many, many different ways to define success. Almost all can be appropriate, outside of conquering the world or the like, although even that might depend on your definitions, but they will often require different strategies to get there. How do you define Success? :>
How do you feel about receiving help in general? Are there times, places, people that are exceptions to your rules? Who/what/where/when/why are they exceptions to those rules? And are they good exceptions? :>
